So
far, Dancers for Reel Peace is just a concept, not an organization.
(maybe some day) But since we were starting a new business
and website, creating a section on giving just seemed like
the right thing to do. Then a funny thing happened. As we
started thinking about giving and charitable causes, we discovered
it was not only easy, but a lot of fun to shop for organizations
and charitable causes to support.
The
few organizations highlighted below are just the beginning
of our giving. We hope you join the fun.
Damian's Irish Homeless World Cup
I
still smile when I think about this one. In searching for
an Irish cause, we came across this organization that provides
450 homeless people with football (a.k.a. soccer) training,
coaching, training and qualification as referees and the support
they need to come off drugs and alcohol, find jobs, homes,
and get an education. Check
it out!
Kiva If you're not familiar
with it, Kiva's an awesome organization that gives us a chance
to give small business loans to people in developing countries.
You don't have to be rolling in it in order to give $25 to
help a hard working business person out. AND, it's not even
a donation, you get your money back! Imagine our surprise
to learn we could help someone out for less than dinner out.
